I'm More Famous! (Updated)

So last week, a camera crew came by work and filmed ME! That’s right, I’m part of the new Palmore TV commercial being shown on SUN TV, RIGHT NOW!

Not much else is new, but things here are going pretty well.

UPDATE: So I’ve heard some complaints that the video off the website isn’t working. I’ve passed along these complaints to our webmaster, but they can’t find anything wrong, the bunch of jerks. So I’ll just upload the video here for your eyeball enjoyment. It’s a 5m file, so be patient while it downloads.

Just a note, everyone said I looked too skinny. So during my stay, I put on several pounds (unintentionally). Now it’s back to tofu!

My new apartment

I actually moved in on June 15th, but I’ve been too lazy to post photos. But I’m all moved in, unpacked, and whatnot, so here you go. My apartment is tiny, but suitable. It’s a full hour closer to work than my old house and also much closer to my friends. That means I can go out more often, and stay out until later. The only downside is that I’m farther from Shoko. But we’re making an effort.

Universal Studios Japan

Shoko and I spent last Monday at USJ. I’ve been to the one in Florida (I think) when I was in Jr. High or something. I barely remember it. Some of the rides were the same here. I distinctly remember some of the rides, Jaws, Back to the Future, and Terminator 2: 3D. The rest of the rides were new to me. And they were great! They have a roller coaster called Hollywood the Ride. It was surprisingly exciting and they play music through the seat backs. You can choose from 5 songs. Naturally, I chose Hip-Hop. Spider-Man 4-D was great too. Very inventive.

Osaka Sakura

A month ago, Shoko and I went to Osaka to see the Cherry Blossoms. They are only in bloom for a week or so, but we managed to go out on quite possibly the perfect day. The weather was the warmest it had been so far this year. It was just an amazing day. But don’t take my word for it, check out the pictures!

Since then, not much has happened. I’m looking for a new place to live, and I may have found something. I like the house I’m in now (it’s big, nice, and cheap), but it’s far from work and from friends. Living in Kobe would be much much closer, but farther from Shoko. Too far. So I’ve been looking for a place in between. Whatever I find, it’ll be a step down in quality and a step up in price. Hopefully though, the access to fun and hijinks will outweigh it.

It’s Golden Week now, which is a holiday around Asia. Everyone is off and everyone travels, so most people just stay home (ironically). I’m trying to work through my stockpile of emails and facebook messages. Be patient, it’s not personal. And stop replying so soon, or I’ll never get them done!

The love is there though and I appreciate everyone who emails and comments.
